Luton pulled off a comfortable 3-0 victory over Cardiff in the previous round that too on the road. However, the hosts have been hit by a sharp dip in form and are currently sporting a very disheartening two-game losing streak under their belt, the last of which saw them lose to Hull after the latter slotted three unanswered goals into the back of the net.

Luton Town failed to impress in back-to-back defeats to the likes of QPR and Hull City, which is yet another reason why we are tempted to put our money on Brendan Rodgers troops. In their last meeting in a competitive match (2007) the two teams played out a 1-1 draw, but away win should be considered this time out. Jamie Vardy is likely to be rested against the Championship side, with Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho being ready to step up.

Graeme Joness men have not been able to ensure a consistent winning run of form in their clashes on home soil and have won just half of their last four games here. Additionally, it is worth mentioning that the hosts have only just earned promotion to the second tier and are by no means ready to take down a side like Leicester who have been part of the top flight for quite some time now.

They edged through the last round against Newcastle on spot-kicks, but we expect a more comfortable win for the Premier League side in this one. They were beaten in the quarter-finals on penalties by eventual winners Man City in the last two seasons. Meanwhile, Leicester are out to make up for some near misses in this competition in recent years.

Having reached the quarter-finals of this competition for the last two years before losing to eventual winners Manchester City, Brendan Rodgers side will feel they could enjoy another lengthy run as part of their bid to break back into the top six which, of course, they did so incredibly in 2015-16 when they became champions of England at odds of 5,000/1.

The Premier League side aim to give fans yet another reason for celebration and we predict that they will take Tuesdays League Cup game against Luton Town very seriously. The Foxes regained a much-needed confidence, but they do not want to stop. Leicester City showed character in their last league match, with the team coming from behind to beat Tottenham Hotspur at their King Power Stadium.

Theyve shown that they can match the best, but first they need to see off Luton. Leicester were able to move into the Premier Leagues top three at the weekend, but can they keep their silverware hopes alive in midweek? The Carabao Cup is a huge chance for Leicester to win a trophy, especially given their impressive displays against the top six sides so far.

Luton Town - Leicester City

The club from Leicester managed to reach the FA Cup final 4 times. Remarkable players that played for Leicester City FC are Mancini, Lineker and Heskey. The last time Leicester played in a European competition was in 2000/2001 where the club played, and lost 2 times against Red Star Belgrade. Leicester City won 3 big titles: the League cup 3 times in 1964, 1997 and 2000. In lower English football divisions the club managed to win a couple of titles.

On top of that, Leicesters last away clean sheet came on New Years Day. The hosts have hit three goals in each of their Carabao Cup games this term, so they should be good for a home goal this week. While they can boast a great attacking setup, we see them conceding to Luton here. Six of Leicesters last seven matches in this competition have seen both teams score.
